KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs made a few roster moves on Saturday in preparation for Kansas City's game in New Orleans Sunday against the Saints.

Offensive lineman Mike Remmers was downgraded from "Doubtful,", a designation given on Friday, to "Out." Remmers has been filling in at right tackle for Mitchell Schwartz for the past several weeks.

Schwartz has been sidelined since Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills, when the veteran offensive lineman left the game with a back injury. He was then placed on the Injured Reserve on Week 11. Now Remmers leaves a void on the O-line as he continues to nurse a back/neck injury he sustained last week against the Miami Dolphins. Rookie and Mizzou grad Yasir Durant filled in the rest of the game in Florida.

Wide receiver Byron Pringle was activated off the IR after spending the past three weeks on the list nursing an ankle injury. Pringle returned to practice on Wednesday. Before the injury, the K-State grad had nine catches for 108 yards. Pringle coming off the reserve now adds to the 53-man roster.

In addition to Pringle, offensive lineman Stefen Wisniewski was officially added to the 53-man roster for the Chiefs. The former Super Bowl Champ was activated off the practice squad after joining Kansas City right before Thanksgiving. Wis originally left the Chiefs during the offseason to join the Pittsburgh Steelers, but was waived after a Pec injury. Wisniewski saw five snaps on special teams last week against Miami.

Kansas City also elevated cornerback Deandre Baker and linebacker Emmanuel Smith. Both players will return to the practice squad on Monday. This brings the roster up to 55 on game day, a new roster rule added in the 2020 season. After game day, the roster will return back to a total of 53.
