KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the 2020 NFL playoff picture begins to take shape, the Kansas City Chiefs remain among the league’s elite.

KC’s high powered offense has not lost a step, with much of the unit’s success owed to the big three -- Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

“Those guys are rolling,” receiver Sammy Watkins on his offensive counterparts said.

Entering week 13 of the NFL regular season, the duo of Hill and Kelce occupied the second and third slots on the NFL receiving yards podium.

Watkins said that after missing five games with a hamstring injury, he found himself a step slow on his own team.

“I'm just trying to catch up to this because I go out and I'm like, 'Man, dang,'” he said.

Ahead of the Denver game, Hill and Kelce have combined for 1,999 yards and 20 touchdowns.

“We're blessed to have those guys,” head coach Andy Reid told the media this week. While joking that he doesn’t closely follow stats, Reid said he knows opposing defenses are "conscious of where both of them line up."

Hill’s standout game came against Tampa Bay, torching the Buccaneers’ secondary for more than 260 yards and three touchdowns.

“He gets better and better every single year,” Mahomes said of Hill’s play in 2020. “He's able to do more and more throughout the offense at different spots.”

Opportunity oozes out of every nook and cranny of the KC passing attack, providing plenty of playmaking options for the explosive pair.

Both sit in the top 10 ranks for targets as well; Hill ranks seventh with 101 passes thrown his way, and Kelce has 98 targets.

“They have the quarterback that can find them, use them and (he) wants more opportunities to use them in different ways,” Reid said.

Look for the pair to be active and involved early and often when KC takes the field Sunday night in primetime.
