KANSAS CITY, Mo. — For the second consecutive day in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs' starting offensive tackles did not practice.

Left tackle Eric Fisher (back) and right tackle Mike Remmers (back) did not practice Thursday, and did not participate in practice Wednesday.

Tight end Ricky Seals-Jones and running back Darwin Thompson were both out due to illness.

Linebacker Damien Wilson did not practice due to a knee injury he has been nursing the past couple weeks. Wilson was listed as out last week for the team's game against the Miami Dolphins.

Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy addressed the situation on the offensive line and who might be asked to step in come Sunday.

University of Missouri alum Yasir Durant came in mid-game when Remmers had to leave last Sunday.

In his 24 snaps played, Durant did not commit any penalties. If asked to fill in again for Remmers in New Orleans, Bieniemy said he believes the rookie will be prepared.

“Trust is a sensitive issue, and we put those players out there is positions to execute their job and we're trusting them, and so they have a great deal of trust in us as well, so if it’s Yasir, Yasir is gonna go out there and play his tail off for us,” Bieniemy said.

On the defensive side of the ball, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo spoke very highly about Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu.

Spagnuolo praised the veteran not only for his leadership but his performance last week on the field. The Honey Badger picked up the sixth interception of his eighth season, a career high. Mathieu has now had four picks in the past three games.

After coordinators spoke, Mathieu took the podium himself to address the Chiefs game plan heading into week 15, unsure of the quarterback they may face.

Spagnuolo said the defense will continue to prepare for the Saints' scheme, whether it be Taysom Hill or Drew Brees.

As the Chiefs continue down the stretch fighting to make it nine consecutive wins in a row, Kansas City knows Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints could prove monumental.
