KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs have instructed all non-essential personnel to work remotely for a minimum of 14 days beginning on Monday, March 16, as they monitor the developments of COVID-19.
The Chiefs have also suspended business travel and all non-essential travel for coaches and scouts.
In a release the Chiefs stated, “The health and safety of our players, coaches, and staff is our top priority. While we have had no positive cases of coronavirus, we believe it is best to take preemptive action out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our employees and our community.”
The team said they will take additional action if necessary.
