Nose tackle Xavier Williams is a Grandview High graduate which makes him a "hometown hero." One of the biggest concerns he has is getting his family tickets to the game.
"It's huge, you can feel the energy around the city," said Williams. "We had a great regular season. We finished strong. We got a lot of people around town excited. My family is really excited. No. 1 seed, home field advantage in the playoffs that's big anywhere you go. We are ready to get after it."
As you can imagine in times like this, you get all kinds of relatives coming out of the woodwork to be a part of this magnificent Chiefs run. Williams is hoping he will get that opportunity to buy even more tickets down the road if the Chiefs get to the next round and to the Super Bowl.
"If we get to the AFC Championship, I will get them all out and it will be a big party," he said. "Let's hope the party will start even earlier with a Chiefs win Saturday."
