KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas State High School Activities Association announced new guidelines for summer 2020 activities following approval by its board of directors.
Kansas high school coaches may begin their summer programs no earlier than June 1 if permitted by local health authorities and school district administration.
KSHSAA stated that student participation in the summer program is voluntary and schools may choose what, when, and how often programs are available.
In March, KSHSAA canceled all spring championships, competitions, and festivals for the remainder of this school year.
