KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The University of Kansas Jayhawks football game scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 21 against Texas will be postponed to December due to COVID-19.
The university announced Saturday’s game will be moved to Dec. 12 after KU was unable to meet the minimum position requirements outlined by the Big 12 Conference.
In the last 10 days, the school says it has counted 825 COVID-19 tests, with five coming back positive.
As of Wednesday afternoon, a total of 13 college football games originally scheduled for this upcoming weekend have been canceled or postponed.
The Jayhawks are tentatively set to return to action on Nov. 28, hosting TCU. The school announced Tuesday that fans will not be allowed due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases.
