KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Monte Harrison achieved a life-long goal Tuesday – making it to the Big Leagues.
The Lee's Summit West alumnus was called up by the Marlins Sunday and in the lineup Tuesday. Harrison went 0-3 with three strikeouts but made a sliding catch for Miami in a 4-0 win over the Orioles. It was the Marlins' first game since July 26, when a COVID-19 outbreak among the team resulted in the postponement of six games.
Harrison acknowledged the achievement on Twitter.
