KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Behind a dominant first half, the Kansas City Chiefs snapped New England’s 21-game home winning streak Sunday evening.

The 23-16 victory combined with the Oakland Raiders’ loss to the Houston Texans handed the Chiefs a fourth consecutive AFC West division title, extending the franchise record.

Listen as the “4th and 1” podcast crew, co-hosts Nick Jacobs and Tod Palmer, break down how Kansas City pulled off the rare feat for visitors to Gillette Stadium and what it may mean for the Chiefs moving forward.

The Chiefs remain in the hunt for a first-round bye, but likely still need to win the season’s final three games — at home against Denver and the Los Angeles Chargers sandwiched around a trip to Chicago — and get some help in the form of another Patriots loss.

Kansas City has never finished worse than second in the AFC West during Andy Reid’s tenure.

The win also guarantees the Chiefs a postseason berth for the sixth time in seven seasons under Reid, who picked up his 100th career road game as head coach.
