KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Mill Valley senior lineman Ethan Kremer is the 2020 winner of the Buck Buchanan Award, which is given annually to the top high school football lineman or linebacker in the Kansas City area from a school with at 5A/Class 5 or higher classification.
Kremer, a 2019 finalist for this award, played on both the offensive and defensive line. He had seven sacks, 14.5 tackles for loss from the defensive tackle position.
Kremer helped lead the Jaguars to their second-straight 5A state title — a 49-35 victory over Northwest High School, located in Wichita.
He was selected to the Sunflower League All-Conference First Team for offensive and defensive line.
This award is named after former Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive right tackle and Pro Football Hall of Famer Junious “Buck” Buchanan.
