KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As the new "Home of the Chiefs," 41 Action News is committed to making our coverage of Super Bowl LIV meaningful, memorable and personal for Kansas City.

It's been 50 years since the Chiefs were champions of the world, but that will change (fingers crossed!) on Sunday night.

Hear from our crew in Miami this week about what the season, the Chiefs and the chance to cover a Super Bowl mean to them in the latest "4th & 1" podcast:

In addition to our own crews in Miami, several sister stations that are part of the E.W. Scripps family also will help tell the stories and get Chiefs Kingdom set for Sunday's big game.

What are you most excited about in covering Super Bowl LIV?: “I’m looking forward to the game-day atmosphere and very excited to see Miami turn red when Chiefs Kingdom makes its way to the 305.”

You’ll always be true to the Bears, but I know you also support the Chiefs. How did that start and what’s your favorite memory?: “Honestly, when I first bought a Priest Holmes jersey many years ago. We share the same last name and I was born on the 31st so it was fitting. And it was reinforced after my very first game at Arrowhead. It was a playoff loss (to the Steelers), but I remember the sadness I felt along with Chiefs Kingdom.”

What are you most excited about in covering Super Bowl LIV?: “It’s not one particular thing I’m excited about covering, but I’m excited to say I was there.”

If you’re a Chiefs fan, how did that start and what’s your favorite memory?: “I became aware of the Chiefs in the 1989 season when Marty Schottenheimer came. That’s when my fandom started. There are a lot of favorite memories; here’s three: Joe Montana vs John Elway in Denver, Steve Bono’s 73-yard TD run on the bootleg with Joe Valerio leading the way and the Tamarick Vanover game-winning TD return during the Monday night game vs. Pittsburgh (I woke my mother up when I was screaming during the return).”

What are you most excited about in covering Super Bowl LIV?: “I'm excited to have the opportunity to represent 41 Action News at Super Bowl LIV. Born and raised in Kansas City, I feel a sense of pride when it comes to covering and supporting my team, especially in the return to the Super Bowl after 50 years. I can finally say I've been alive to see a Royals World Series win and I can't wait to be able to say I've seen a Chiefs Super Bowl win.”

If you’re a Chiefs fan, how did that start and what’s your favorite memory?: “If you grew up in Kansas City, you're a Chiefs fan. If you're not — somewhere, somehow, something went wrong! It might be cliche but being at Arrowhead Stadium to watch the Lamar Hunt Trophy get handed to the Hunt family was incredible.”

What are you most excited about in covering Super Bowl LIV?: “I’m excited to watch the game and see the team celebrate.”

You’ll always be true to the Dolphins, but I know you also support the Chiefs. How did that start and what’s your favorite memory?: “I went to my first game at Arrowhead and it was so much fun. My favorite memory was when the Chiefs won and then the Dolphins won, giving the Chiefs a bye in the last game of the regular season this year.”

What are you most excited about in covering Super Bowl LIV?: “The Monday night Opening Night media event. The players are so accessible and more willing to let their guard down and have fun. Plus, you’ll never know what you’ll see.”

If you’re a Chiefs fan, how did that start and what’s your favorite memory?: “I want the Chiefs to win because it makes my job easier! Ha, just kidding. But getting to know these guys better, you realize how much work they put in and you want to see that pay off. I didn’t grow up around KC, so Chiefs fandom isn’t ingrained in me. But my kids have and they’re huge Chiefs fans, so are most of my friends. I would love to see them celebrate a Super Bowl.”
