COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou athletes are repopulating campus in Columbia.

According to the school, 377 athletes, coaches and staff members were tested for COVID-19. Ten tests came back positive. But none trace back to workouts or on-campus facilities, University of Missouri Athletic Director Jim Sterk said.

"It's everyday life of going to social gatherings like weddings and other gatherings outside of athletic activities," Sterk said.

The athletes will all be tested again soon enough, but if someone leaves campus for more than 24 hours, the person is required to self-quarantine for five days.

Sterk said the SEC has yet to make definitive decisions on the football season, despite other leagues already doing so. The Ivy League has canceled all Fall sports. The Big Ten announced Thursday is has canceled all non-conference football games.

Likewise, a decision on fan attendance has not been made at Faurot Field, but Sterk says they have done the math on how many socially-distanced fans the stadium could hold.

"If we truly did a six-foot radius around everybody, you could fit, our folks have looked at it, something like 18-20,000 (fans)," Sterk said.

Missouri is scheduled to play Arkansas at Arrowhead Stadium. Sterk said the school has been in communication with the Kansas City Chiefs and that game is still on as scheduled.
