MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Wildcats had the No. 14 ranked Pokes on the ropes for a while Saturday in Manhattan.

But Chris Klieman’s crew was unable to finish the job, scoring just six points in the final two quarters, falling to Oklahoma State, 20-18.

Freshman quarterback Will Howard was the ‘cats leading rusher, grinding out a career-high 125 yards on 14 carries.

A critical strip fumble as Howard was rushing deep in Oklahoma State territory proved the back-breaker.

The ball landed right in the hands of Cowboy Jason Taylor II, who returned the ball 85-yards for the score.

Kansas State (4-3) faces Iowa State on Nov. 17.
