KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of Olathe unofficially renamed a busy street in honor of the Kansas City Chiefs Monday.
Santa Fe Street became Chiefs Avenue, “complete with a sign, and flags lining the street,” according to the city’s Facebook post.
The city encouraged residents to show their spirit by stopping at City Hall to take a photo with the new sign.
A picture of the traffic staff who helped mount the sign accompanied the post.
Olathe said residents should be on the lookout for more Chiefs surprises as the week goes on.
The Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LIV at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Feb. 2.
