Patrick Mahomes nominated for two ESPY Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It's almost training camp time for the 2019 season, but the 2018 accolades keep rolling in for Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs quarterback learned he was nominated for two ESPY's on Wednesday.

The ESPY's are an annual award show that recognizes individual and team athletic achievements.

Mahomes is nominated for the Best NFL Player award along with Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Aaron Donald & Todd Gurley of the Rams

Mahomes is also nominated for the overall Best Male Athlete award. Also nominated are Mookie Betts of the Boston Red Sox, Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks, and golfer Brooks Koepka.

The Chiefs Week 11 Monday Night Football game against the Rams is nominated for the Best Game, alongside the LSU/Texas A&M seven-overtime college football game and the Notre Dame/UConn Women's Final Four game.

The ESPY's will be held July 10 from Los Angeles. Actor/comedian Tracy Morgan will host.
