RAYMORE, Mo. — Jordan Jermain and Kian Scroggins do everything together.
"We like to eat a lot, go watch other games, spend the night, watch movies..." Kian said. "Just normal teenage life."
So it's only fitting that they also be named Hy-Vee Athlete of the Week together.
"We just hang out, sit at my house, play some more basketball, actually," Jordan said.
The two are the leading scorers for Raymore-Peculiar High School, both, fittingly, at a little more than 18 points per game.
"It's just a special bond those two have," said Scott Jermain, Jordan's father and Ray-Pec's boys basketball head coach.
Whatever they're doing, it works. Ray-Pec is 23-3 heading into Friday night's District Final against Lee's Summit West High School.
"We don't really care who scores," Jordan said. "Just as long as we win. That's really the only stat we care about."
Kian said that translates on the court as well.
"We trust each other. And we have fun with each other," Kian said.
