BRISTOL, Conn. — Down to a final three of Kansas, Memphis and Texas Tech, 5-star guard R.J. Hampton threw college basketball a curve ball.
He's going to play overseas with the New Zealand Breakers of Australia's NBL professional league.
"My dream has never been to play college basketball," said Hampton on ESPN. "My dream has always been to get to the next level and to play in the NBA."
Playing in New Zealand will allow Hampton to earn money and then return to the United States after a year for the NBA Draft.
