KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As is often the case with offensive linemen, center Mitch Morse went under the radar as a Kansas City Chiefs free agent this offseason.
But he was apparently noticed in Buffalo, where the Bills are reportedly signing Morse later this week, once the new NFL year begins.
Terez Paylor of Yahoo! Sports first reported the news on Twitter.
The deal is expected to be worth more than $11 million per year, which would make Morse the league's highest-paid center.
Morse started every game he played for the Chiefs over four years. The problem was, he was often missing from the field. The University of Missouri graduate missed the last half of the 2017 season and was absent for five games last season.
The Chiefs could receive as much as a third-round compensatory pick for losing Morse.
