KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The SEC is moving back its regular season start date. So it only makes sense that preseason football practice is delayed as well.

And that's what the pigskin powerhouse league is doing.

According to a report by Sports Illustrated, the SEC will push back the start of fall football camps to Aug. 17. The start of the SEC's conference-only season is now set for Sept. 26. Each team will add two more conference games. Schedules are not yet finalized.

Once the teams begin camp later this month, they'll be allowed 25 practices over the next 40 days before the season starts.
