Later Tuesday afternoon, the Pac-12 announced it was canceling all sports through the end of the 2020 calendar year.
Several other small leagues, including the Mid-American Conference, had previously canceled fall sports.
Prior to Tuesday, the Big 12 planned to push forward with its fall sports schedule. The conference scheduled a 5 p.m. conference call with university leaders to discuss options.
