KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Playing on a big stage is nothing new to Chiefs running back Darrel Williams and many of his former LSU teammates.
On Sunday, Williams will meet several former Tigers, only this time they'll be wearing opposing uniforms.
Looking back on his time in the NFL, Williams said he couldn't think of a single game where he hasn't gone up against a former teammate.
“You know I talk to a lot of those guys a lot and it means a lot, it just shows that the work we put in a LSU is paying off," Williams said. "LSU is a big school and you know, a big stage and we have this opportunity to play on another big stage and I wish success to all those guys and this is a big moment for all of us."
During Williams’ senior season at LSU in 2017, freshman Clyde Edwards-Helaire was one of the newest Tigers.
Williams also spent part of his collegiate career backing up Tampa Bay running back Leonard Fournette.
