KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chiefs Kingdom received some unsurprising but disappointing news Friday: The Kansas City Chiefs will be without left tackle Eric Fisher and linebacker Willie Gay Jr. during Super Bowl LV.

The Chiefs made the announcement via Twitter Friday.

However, there's still some hope as wide receiver Sammy Watkins is listed as questionable for the game on Sunday.

Fisher tore his Achilles tendon during the AFC Championship against the Buffalo Bills.

Gay underwent surgery on his meniscus and his recovery is expected to take about four months. Gay also missed the AFC Championship after dealing with a high ankle sprain.
