Kelce is the Chiefs' nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for the work he does with 87 and Running. The award is among the highest honors a player can receive for their work on and off the field.
Kelce's charity works to "empower disadvantaged youth to achieve success by providing resources and support to their communities and cultivating their talent in the areas of education, business, athletics, STEM, and the arts," according to its website.
The Walter Payton Man of the Year Award winner's charity of choice receives $250,000. The other 31 players nominated by their teams will receive up to $40,0000 from the NFL Foundation and Nationwide.
The winner will be announced at 8 p.m. on Feb. 6, the night before Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida.
