PRAIRIE VILLAGE, Kan. — Signs of support for the Super Bowl-bound Kansas City Chiefs to "Run It Back" can be found in many places throughout the metro, including at one area church.

The sign outside Asbury United Methodist Church makes it clear who they’re rooting for in Super Bowl LV. Their sign off West 75th Street in Prairie Village reads, “We’ve got the goat. Go Chiefs!”

The church has displayed signs rooting for local teams in the past, including the 2019-2020 Chiefs during their successful Super Bowl run, and the Kansas City Royals.

Reverend Gayla Rapp said the sign is a simple way to show appreciation for the team and what it has meant to the area during a stressful year.

“We believe that our faith is about joy and community, and the Chiefs have brought so much joy to our community, and you know to me that's spiritual. That's religious, anytime you can get behind something like the chiefs and get the community together. I think that blesses the community and that pleases God,” Rapp said.

Reverend Rapp added the church would include a special message of support for the Chiefs at the end of their service which will be made available on Saturday.

The service can be viewed at Asbury United Methodist Church’s website.
