KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl run is sparking charitable efforts across the Kansas City metro area.

Friday, Crane Brewing in Raytown, Missouri canned its second appreciation beer for the team as they make a trip back to the Super Bowl.

“This is a brand new beer, we’ve never done this one before," Chris Meyers, co-founder, said.

Meyers says the beer is limited edition and less than 200 cases are being produced.

“This is a dry-hop pale ale, something that’s super bright and light, something that you’re going to want to enjoy a few of you know, leading up to and during the game," Meyers said.

The beer is called "WIN," an acronym of What's Important Now. A portion of the sales will benefit the 15 and the Mahomies Foundation. A charity ran by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“We wanted to use it for awhile now with a different beer but the acronym WIN fit so well and with everything going on, if we can all kind of take a moment and reflect and look for the good things, I think were all really excited about the game coming up," Meyers said.

The Chiefs-inspired beer isn't the only local product benefiting Mahomes' foundation.

Friday, Hy-Vee donated 5,000 boxes of Mahomes Magic Crunch to Harvesters to help feed people in need.

Harvesters has 760 partner agencies that work to get food where it's needed in the community, but the rest of Chiefs Kingdom can help out as well.

For every cereal box purchased at Hy-Vee through Feb. 7, Hy-Vee will donate a box to Harvesters.

This year, Mahomes Magic Crunch is an 8 box series. Fans can buy one box at a time or the complete set.
