KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Patrick Mahomes left everything on the field during Super Bowl LV in Tampa.
Down plenty with not much time remaining, Mahomes found himself in a familiar spot: scrambling around in his own backfield buying time to find an open receiver.
What happened next dazzled many.

Mahomes threw the 4th-and-9 pass while parallel to the ground.
“I wasn't going to go down without giving somebody a chance,” Mahomes told reporters Monday following the 31-9 loss to the Buccaneers.
A well-covered Darrel Williams nearly turned the sorcery into a touchdown, but the ball bounced off running back's face mask.
“I knew I had to find a way to throw it and give them a chance to catch the ball. So, I just put it up there,” Mahomes said. “He battled for the ball, and we were just like (that) the whole game — we didn't make the plays, but we ... battled until the very end."
