KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Super Bowl LV competition is hitting the books.
Kansas City Public Schools is in a friendly wager with with the Hillsborough County Public Schools district in Tampa Bay, Florida.
HCPS superintendent Addison Davis challenged KCPS superintendent Mark Bedell on Wednesday, and there's more than bragging rights on the line.
If the Kansas City Chiefs win the Super Bowl, Davis will sport a Chiefs jersey for a full day and send over some Tampa goods to Bedell.
This includes a Cuban sandwich from the Columbia Restaurant, strawberries from Parkesdale Market and guava pastries from Allesi's Bakery.
If the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win, Davis requested Kansas City barbecue from Bedell, who must wear a Bucs jersey.
"Challenge accepted," Bedell said in response to Addison.
Bedell promised Gate's barbecue among other Kansas City favorites, were the chiefs to lose.
