University of Kansas Health System workers among 7,500 invited to Super Bowl LV

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Health care workers from the University of Kansas Health System will head to Tampa Bay, Florida, for Super Bowl LV.

A spokesperson for the KU health system confirmed to 41 Action News that they received 18 tickets from the NFL.

The workers must have received a COVID-19 vaccination in order to be considered to receive the tickets.

According to the spokesperson, KU is "in the process of identifying who those people are."

On Friday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the league is inviting 7,500 health care workers to the Super Bowl as thank you for the crucial services provided by them during the pandemic.
