KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Whiteman Air Force Base will provide a B-2 Spirit flyover ahead of Sunday’s AFC Divisional playoff game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Col. Jeffrey Schreiner, commander of Whiteman’s 509th Bomb Wing, and Capt. Ryan Magner, of the 393rd Bomb Sqdn., will fly the aircraft at 2 p.m.

“Having the opportunity for Team Whiteman to participate in this flyover is a true honor,” Schreiner, an Independence native, said in a news release. “I grew up just outside of Kansas City, and I have been a life-long fan of the Kansas City Chiefs.”

The B-2, according to the release, is one of the world’s “most advanced aircraft,” and the 509th and 131st Bomb Wings at Whiteman operate the aircraft.

The Kansas City Chiefs face the Cleveland Browns at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday.
