KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Southeastern Conference said Tuesday the start of some fall sports will be delayed through at least Aug. 31.
As of July 14, conference football was not among the sports that will be delayed, but volleyball, soccer and cross country teams at SEC schools won’t be able to compete until at least Aug. 31.
The conference says the rescheduling of any events will be up to each school.
On Monday, the conference said it would look to late July before making an announcement on football.
Last week, the Big 10 and Pac-12 conferences announced non-conference football games would be canceled this season.
