KANSAS CITY, Mo. — As Sporting KC reaches its final month of play, the club announced Wednesday that a game against the Colorado Rapids has been rescheduled until Oct. 21.
The match was originally scheduled for Sept. 27, but Major League Soccer decided to postpone it after one player and three staff members on the Colorado club tested positive for COVID-19.
The match against Colorado is one of nine games Sporting KC will play between Oct 1. and Nov. 3, according to the club.
The club (6-5-2), which sits at third place in the West, called the stretch of games a "busy and decisive month of October."
Sporting KC is set to play Houston Dynamo on Saturday.
