KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A third Kansas City Chiefs Player has reportedly opted out of the 2020 NFL season.

NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero tweeted Thursday morning that Chiefs rookie offensive lineman Lucas Niang has opted out of the season.

The move comes ahead of the league’s 3 p.m. Central deadline for players to opt-out of the season due to COVID-19 concerns.

Niang was the Chiefs’ third-round draft pick in this year’s draft out of Texas Christian University.

He joins fellow offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay Tardif and running back Damien Williams as Chiefs that have opted out of the 2020 season.
