KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fresh off the PUP list, second-year defensive back Juan Thornhill is ready to make an immediate impact for the Kansas City Chiefs.

“With me not being able to play in the playoffs, I felt like I let my team down,” he said via Zoom conference Friday.

Thornhill suffered a torn ACL in the final week of the 2019 regular season, forcing him to watch the team’s championship run from the sidelines.

“When I was at the Super Bowl watching, it was like I was so happy but at the same time, it was eating me alive,” he said.

Despite recording 42 tackles and three interceptions in his rookie season, the former Virginia Cavalier is determined to be a key piece in the ‘Run it Back’ tour.

“I've never felt this hunger before. I have to pick up where I left off and take off, and hopefully, I can help my teammates get back to the Super Bowl,” Thornhill said.
