KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Missouri’s furious second-half comeback stamped out a red-hot Texas Christian University team Saturday in Columbia.
Trailing by 12 points with only 4:40 remaining, the No. 12 ranked Tigers (11-3) flipped into another gear, ending regulation on an 18-7 run to force overtime.
From there, guard Xavier Pinson led the charge, adding seven crucial points to a new career high of 36. Senior center Jeremiah Tilmon’s presence was felt early and often, tallying a career-high, 33-point performance.
Pinson hit a pair of three-pointers to help keep Mizzou in it late in regulation, including a four-point play to help usher momentum.
A Pinson 4-point play cuts the deficit to four.
