KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The race to the start of the high school football is on. We're counting down the 10 best teams in the metro area. Of course, with high school football, it's all subject to change.

Our countdown of the 10 best in the area takes us to Park Hill where the Trojans are building from last year's 10-3 season.

Park Hill High School has always been loaded with talent. In fact, five players from last year's squad have signed NCAA Division I scholarships.

"The beauty is we've spent three or for years developing these other guys who are in a position to take their place," said head coach Josh Hood."We knew that was coming a year ago. We have a plan in place and these guys have kind of seen that and they finally get a chance to shine and we get some new names coming in this year."

The Trojans will open the season against Lee's Summit West August 24.
