KANSAS CITY, Mo — Professional basketball returns to town this month. The Kansas City Tornadoes are ready to spin back onto the floor. The team will be playing as part of TBL (The Basketball League), and will play their home games at the newly renovated HyVee Arena. They've made several acquisitions this off season, including picking up one of the leagues top players Ronoldo Majors. The staff is hoping this will help set the Tornadoes up for their ultimate goal. "Our mission is to win a championship." said head coach Eddie Corporal. "We were one game away from going to the finals last year. Ronoldo who was on the championship team last year, has the leadership and the experience. What he brings takes us over the top." Corporal was the team's assistant coach last season and was promoted to head coach this year. The Tornadoes will open the season January 11, against Raleigh.
