KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Big 12 Tournament kicks off Wednesday with four teams: TCU, Oklahoma State, West Virginia and Oklahoma.
Thousands of fans are expected to come out, watch the games and partake in various festivities.
This year is the 11th time the Sprint Center will host the Big 12 Tournament. The Kansas City Sports Commission stated the city will host the tournament until at least 2024.
Visit KC estimates this event will bring in more than $14.5 million into the metro's economy.
The Official 12 GameDay Fan Experience kicks off at 3 p.m. just outside the Sprint Center near 13th and Grand.
Spirit rallies for the four teams will begin at 4 p.m. in the KC Live! Block of the Power and Light District.
The first game will be TCU vs. Oklahoma State at 6 p.m. Then at 8 p.m., Oklahoma will play West Virginia.
