MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Kansas State football team announced the signing of 14 players to the 2021 football class during the early signing period Wednesday.

Eight of the players are on the defensive side of the ball. Six come from offense. Four of them are ranked in the Top 50 nationally at their positions.

K-State head coach, Chris Klieman's class also had a local feel as well.

Four of his recruits hail from the state of Kansas.

Two of them are from the Kansas City metro area: LB DaVonte Pritchard and OL Austin Weiner, both from Gardner-Edgerton High School.

"I thought right away, 'There is a Big 12 football player,'" Klieman said about Pritchard. "He was a really good athlete on offense as well but on defense is where we're going to play him."

The class has a quarterback, as well. Jake Rubley is a 6-3, 205 lb. quarterback from Highlands Ranch, Colorado

Kansas State will look to add more prospects to the Class of 2021 during the regular signing period, which opens on Wednesday, Feb, 3.
