WEATHER BLOG UPDATE:
Good afternoon bloggers,
Wow! What a morning as we had 40-60 mph winds sweep across the city as a significant line of thunderstorms moved in from the northwest.
What is next? We have one more round of widespread thunderstorms to go. The video below has all the details on what to expect.
Have a great week ahead and stay healthy.

Good morning bloggers,
Thunderstorms developed just west of KC around 4:30 AM and are slowly moving across the KC metro area now. There has been some hail that fell when these thunderstorms first popped up and increased. The chance of large hail in your location is low, but you may want to get your cars under cover if possible just in case. Here are the radar views:
Just one hour later, the thunderstorms lined up, and are now taking aim on KC. Strong and damaging winds will be possible with this line as it moves through the KC metro area and shifts south.
Look at how that line of thunderstorms formed north and west of the city, as of 7:22 AM. This line will move across the KC metro area between now and 10 AM. Then, the rain will likely shut off and shift east with a wind shift to the north as a weak cold front moves through.
We will update the blog later this morning.
Prepare for this rain this morning, and watch 41 Action News, and we will keep you advised.
