and last updated

Good Sunday bloggers,

There is quite a bit going on in the weather. Fortunately, it is mostly not in our area. Below we go over the Saturday severe weather, the newest hurricane and a look at the next 7 days.

SATURDAY SEVERE WEATHER:
We had a storm system and cold front race across the Plains and Midwest on Saturday. These features generated two main lines of thunderstorms that rapidly became severe. The lines got their start along and just east of I-35, so the KC area missed most of the activity.

These are radar images from 8 PM Saturday. There were two distinct lines and there were several Tornado Warnings. But, as of this moment there is no confirmed tornadoes. After the weather service does its surveys there may be 1-2 tornadoes confirmed.

Below are some of the severe weather reports from Saturday.

After the stormy Saturday, Mother Nature brought us a super Sunday sunrise. Today will be sunny, windy and cooler with highs in the 50s. Details on the week ahead are in the video below the hurricane video.

HURRICANE UPDATE:

The 2020 hurricane season is just rolling along. It is truly incredible. The latest named system is Iota. We have gone through 9 of the 24 Greek letters after zipping through the English names. What happens if we go past the Greek alphabet? Let's hope we don't find out.

The video below details the latest on the tropics.

THE NEXT 7 DAYS:

It is hard to believe that the next 7 days are the week before Thanksgiving. 2020 has been a long year in some aspects and it has been flying by in others.

This video details the weather through next weekend. We do a recap of the Saturday severe weather before we look ahead.

Have a great week and stay healthy.
