Weather Blog: The Weekend Forecast

Posted
and last updated

Good Friday bloggers,

Our weather has calmed down quite a bit. Now, we are tracking two systems the next 3 days. The first system moves through later today and the second system moves through Saturday night. Each system will bring clouds and the chance for a few rain showers and sprinkles. These systems will combine to bring quite a rain event from Texas to New England where 1" to 4" of rain is possible.

Our area will see a trace to maybe .10" total today through Monday. Locations from Emporia to Pleasanton, KS south will possibly see over .25" of rain.

Highs today will be around 50. Saturday will see highs around 60 with sunshine and a south breeze 10-20 mph. Sunday will be breezy and colder with increasing sunshine and highs in the 40s. So, Saturday looks like the best day of the weekend.
