Weather Blog - Winter Weather Advisory Monday

Posted
and last updated

Good evening bloggers,

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire KC viewing area on Monday. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain are likely in our area on Monday. It looks like the first chance of snowflakes will arrive between 4 AM and 8 AM.

Noon Powercast:

Snow will likely increase during the morning and up to 3", or possibly a bit more, is possible. A few spots may only get around a dusting and we are narrowing in on this snowfall forecast, a rare October accumulation for the third year in a row.

There will likely be a main band that forms just south of KC, and then it may drift north a bit during the morning. Down the middle of this band is where the heaviest snow is most likely.

Here is our Kansas City Weather Forecast Time-Line:

There are a few things we are still identifying as this storm approaches. We will discuss on our newscasts tonight!

Thank you for spending a few minutes reading this blog update. Watch 41 Action News after the game tonight for details on the new data!
